Management Skills Training

Many individuals are thrust into positions of leadership without having the right set of skills to be able to perform at expected levels.  Research shows that employees' performance is directly connected to managerial performance.  According to the Center for Creative Leadership and Booz Allen Hamilton, "Employees are motivated both by the opportunities they have and by their leaders' behaviors.  Effective leaders in all types of organizations can influence employee motivation by helping find good learning and development opportunities for them and by leading more effectively."

This introductory training teaches participants the fundamentals of effective management.  It is appropriate for both new and seasoned managers.  Much of our methods involve using proven organizational development techniques to help facilitate the learning experience.  Some of the topics covered may include:

  • Goal setting
  • Managing for effectiveness
  • Task delegation
  • Employee development
  • Performance management
  • Employee motivation
  • Employee appreciation
  • Discipline
  • Termination
  • Sexual harassment
  • Favoritism

*As with all of our training a needs assessment is conducted prior to developing a program.
